The Cantlie Suites Hotel is located in Downtown Montreal, in the heart of the Golden Square Mile, just minutes away from the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts as well as McGill and Concordia universities. It offers 250 spacious rooms and conference facilities, a gym, a restaurant, an outdoor terrace and a pool with a panoramic view of Montreal's skyline, including a direct view of the Mount Royal Chalet and its lookout.

Role and responsibilities

Review the room assignment sheet

Clean rooms as directed by management and in accordance with hotel standards.

Perform any other cleaning tasks specified by the Rooms Manager

Ensure that all equipment in assigned rooms is in place and that windows and balcony doors are locked before leaving the room

Safely handle all cleaning supplies and equipment.

Ensure that work equipment is always clean, tidy, and in good working order.

Keep linen rooms clean, properly stocked, and locked when not in use

Return all lost and found items to the housekeeping desk as soon as the floor is cleared

Report to the Manager any rooms that do not require maintenance or are marked with "Privacy" signs in the designated area.

Ensure the housekeeping cart is fully stocked and that all necessary supplies and equipment are in good working order.

Ensure that all maintenance and safety hazards are promptly reported to the Supervisor.

Immediately report any defects or hazards to Housekeeping Management.

Work harmoniously and professionally with colleagues and hotel staff.

Requirements

Must be able to communicate in both French and English

Desirable qualifications

Previous experience in the hotel or restaurant industry

Role and responsibilities

Participate in the development and implementation of creative menus

Supervise and participate in the preparation and cooking of various dishes

Manage all recipes and their costs

Participate in the annual review of banquet and dining room menus

Establish, implement, and enforce kitchen and hotel policies and procedures

Monitor food production, orders, quality, and cost consistency

Ensure the safety and hygiene of all kitchen equipment and facilities

Ensure compliance with MAPAQ hygiene requirements

Requirements

2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position

Must have the MAPAQ certification

Must be able to communicate in both French and English

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Previous experience in the hotel or restaurant industry

Experience in customer service

Attention to detail

Diploma in restauration

Role et responsibilities

Arrange the dining room or a section of the dining room according to needs

Set tables as needed

Inquire about menu changes, new items, and specials, if applicable

Greet customers, describe the menu, and offer choices

Take orders and forward them to the kitchen and bar staff

Present the bill to customers and collect payment for orders

Ensure customer satisfaction during and after consumption of products

Serve drinks and food

Maintain and restock tables during service as needed

Clean bar counters, wash and store glasses

Requirements

Must be able to communicate in both French and English

Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment

Qualifications

Previous experience in the hotel or restaurant industry
